LiveVault TurboRestore, a rapid recovery
appliance for local, disk-speed restores of
current data and recent history. LiveVault
TurboRestore can reside in some or all of your
remote offices, while requiring absolutely no
maintenance or manual operation by remote office
staff.
LiveVault TurboRestore enables you to quickly
recover large amounts of data while achieving
the most stringent Recovery Time Objectives
(RTO). Though LiveVault TurboRestore resides in
remote offices, restores are managed entirely by
your centralized staff via the LiveVault Web
Management Portal.
With LiveVault TurboRestore in your remote
offices, data is automatically backed up
locally, and then sent securely over the network
to your central LiveVault Data Storage Vault.
LiveVault TurboRestore maintains recoverable
copies of all current data plus approximately
three weeks of history . It maintains a rolling
history of the most granular versions of data.
Data is always available for instant local
recovery via LiveVault TurboRestore. In a site
disaster, however, if LiveVault TurboRestore is
unavailable, data is recoverable immediately
from the Data Storage Vault.
With LiveVault InControl, you have the option of
sending data first to LiveVault TurboRestore and
then securely over the network to your Data
Storage Vault with completely different
parameters. For instance, you can send data to a
local LiveVault TurboRestore appliance on a
continuous basis, while only replicating data
from the appliance to your Data Storage Vault at
night. This enables you to have a flexible
backup schedule, and also helps you prioritize
the use of precious bandwidth resources.
At restore time, the LiveVault Restore Wizard
finds the files you requested to restore and
retrieves the data from the fastest available
location, usually LiveVault TurboRestore.
LiveVault TurboRestore provides the fastest
recovery times in the industry, enabling you to
get remote offices up and running right away
after a data loss.

you to restore only the data that changed — in
effect rolling back the data to the exact state
it was in prior to the corruption. So when a
virus corrupts a few messages within a large
Microsoft Exchange database, LiveVault InControl
“rolls back” the database to a point prior to
the corruption by restoring only the data that
changed — and reconstructing the database to its
exact form at that point in time.
